My name is Rūta Navickė, I am a trauma psychologist. I help adults empower their inner wisdom and heal from trauma.. My goal is to help you recover from traumatic or stressful experiences that echo too strongly from the past and interfere with living in the present. I teach parents to recognize stress and trauma in their children and help them recover. I teach them to use mindfulness practices, which are the starting point for change. I believe that these practices are not only a means of healing, but also the discovery of a new way of life.
I currently provide individual counseling to adults and use EMDR therapy which is recognized as one of the most effective and fastest for treating traumatic memories. I also use Internal familysystems therapy (IFS) I consult parents, following perhaps the only parenting philosophy, Aware parentingwhich takes into account the impact of stress and trauma on children.
My knowledge is not limited to theoretical psychology. While studying, I did administrative work in a court, where I documented the most painful experiences of victims of emotional, physical and sexual violence. I have worked as a mediator, where I resolved conflicts between convicts and victims and helped them not necessarily reconcile, but finally come to an agreement. Later, I consulted police officers who had seen a lot of pain from victims and harm caused by aggressors. All this experience of 8 years of working in the field of law enforcement encouraged me to look for methods and techniques that help me heal from the most difficult experiences. That's how I discovered trauma psychology. I discovered that only by looking deeper (knowing and discovering the signals your body sends) What works for me especially) can help you heal from traumatic experiences and allow you to live more freely in the present.
I believe that everyone can regain their inner strength and live a happier life, even if they have experienced painful experiences. I believe that together we can create a collaborative and supportive space where you can heal, grow, and finally feel at home within yourself.
